Mother, grandmother, and educator of 30+ years, Janet Cassiday is passionate about helping children discover a love for learning while empowering parents to be in control of their child’s education. 

Janet graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor’s in Education. She taught in the public school system in many grades ranging from kindergarten to 8th grade before going on to homeschool her own children all the way through high school. 

In addition to homeschooling her own children, Janet created and taught a local homeschool PE class for the past 20 years and counting. She also spent 20 years teaching a preschool story hour at her local library. 

Since founding The Dragonfly Hill in 2023, Janet now offers consultation, tutoring, as well as group classes. Many parents feel nervous about beginning homeschooling for the first time or about entering a new phase of their child’s education. Janet’s goal through The Dragonfly Hill is to empower parents by giving them and their children the tools they need to succeed through classes, one-on-one tutoring, and individual consultation.
